I had never seen the infomercials nor had I heard of the Shark Navigator or the Shark line of products (it’s possible I actually was living under a rock, I suppose!). When my previous vacuum died an unexpected, smoky, and spark infused death, I was in the middle of preparing the house for out of town company. The local stores were woefully under-stocked on anything even vaguely resembling a replacement and two separate “buy online, pick up in store” attempts at major box stores failed when I was sent back-order notices. I was not in a happy place! Out of desperation, I purchased a Shark Navigator Lift-Away at Costco because I knew that they would take it back if I didn’t care for it. I needn’t have worried!
With two boys tracking in dirt, three dogs adding to the dirt on top of shedding, a cat and my own long hair, vacuum cleaners at my house are over-worked to say the least. I was very impressed (and fairly grossed out) when the Shark Lift-Away Pro pulled a full canister of dirt and hair out of my living room carpet which looked perfectly clean. When I moved on to trying out the attachments, things just kept improving! The canister is very lightweight and all of the attachments from the hard floor head to the blind attachment attach and detach in a snap!
Several months after I purchased it, I was distressed when one of my kids inadvertently broke it. When I contacted the company, it turned out that the part they broke is one of the few that can’t be purchased for repairs so they shipped me an entirely new vacuum at no charge – even including a prepaid mailing label so I could return the broken one at no cost. I am a Shark customer for life!
