Miniwings Desk Organizer

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

A simple product that does wonders when you need to stretch your storage space!

Organization is a challenge for my son’s home-schooling space and I am always looking for tools to help. This organizer ended up being much more than I expected! In addition to the five fixed cubbies, there is one large cubby (it shows in the pic as the three smaller sections down the center) that has a sliding insert to allow you to customize the size of the holes or you can remove it easily to make another large storage spot.

The organizer is light-weight but very sturdy and made of wipe-clean plastic. It holds a huge amount of stuff but my favorite feature is the charging cord access on the back which makes it perfect for cell phone storage! We aren’t, technically, using it to organize a desk; we are using it to hold the supplies on the entertainment center that serves as our schooling home-base and it’s working perfectly!

Arevo Whirlwind Wet Spin Mop Set

I am very, very impressed with this Arevo Whirlwind Wet Spin Mop set!
I was about to replace my hurricane spin mop (the wringer bucket split after only a few uses) when I received an offer to review this spin mop set. The first thing I did was check the existing reviews and I almost passed on it when I saw that the only existing review said it was horrid; I am so glad I took a chance on it!
This spin bucket is heavy duty, seems to be very well made of thick plastic and has so many features that my hurricane mop didn’t! To begin with – a drain plug! You really don’t realize how important that is until you are trying to balance a huge, oblong bucket on the tub rim to empty while the dirty water splashes out onto the recently mopped floor.
My old (and expensive) spin bucket had only one plastic spinner – the wringer that you used to force the water out of the mop head. This bucket has two – one in the main bucket to saturate the mop head with water and rinse the debris out and a second wringer to force the water out so that your mop head is dry enough for effective cleaning. (The wring spinner also has a handle to easily lift it out of the bucket if you need to.) We have laminate floors, so it is very important to me that I am not leaving too much water on the floor. Not only does this set have two ringers, they are metal – not cheap plastic like the one on my old mop. You can see in the video that the spinners operate effortlessly and do an excellent job of both saturating and wringing the mop head.
Additional feature and bonuses – the spin mop itself has a telescoping handle to maximize the area you can clean without tramping over the clean floor, it comes with not one but TWO machine washable heads so you aren’t waiting for one to finish in the wash to clean up a spill and a convenient soap dispenser with its own on-board niche.
One complaint I do understand is the tiny wheels. They truly are tiny but they supported the weight of the filled bucket with no problem, they didn’t buckle under my assistant putting waaaay too much pressure on the handle when he wrung the mop and, at the end of the movie, you can see that he tried to move it a few inches and it almost got away from him so they roll fine.
Make sure you compare the features on the Arevo Whirlwind to the Hurricane Spin Mop and you’ll see the difference – Arevo’s Whirlwind is a better mop set at a lower price – even before you have to purchase the hurricane’s roller base for more money!

Non Slip Silicone Oven Mitt Commercial Grade Oven Mitt

Not a single complaint! I am beyond leery of all of the “commercial grade” silicone products out there. Most are a disappointment and some are even dangerous. The last silicone oven mitt I tested couldn’t even protect past 200 degrees – forget the 500 that the listing promised. When I pulled this one on, I wasn’t exactly optimistic and I said as much to my kids. I’ll tell you plainly and simply that MAMASwag made me eat my words!

The baking sheet was great – I like to use them when I make rolls to keep the bottoms from over-browning and it did exactly that but the oven mitt blew me away! In the video, you’ll see me wrestle my pan of ribs out of the oven and then, since the glove was still keeping my hand cool, I even grabbed the broiler-hot rack and held it for a few seconds – still no heat transfer! Every kitchen needs a couple of these!

VEBE Mens/Womens Sports Training Gloves

These cycling gloves are great! They are sturdy and well made with properly finished seams, no gaps or torn threads and the fastening tape if correctly stitched in place. They provide the perfect amount of padding to protect my son’s hands and help him keep his grip when he’s bouncing over the dirt hills in the local wheel park. He has even started using them to play racquetball to pad the impact from the ball hitting his racquet!

Glovion ®Creative Swan Shape Flexible Table

This is great for anyone who has a kid like mine who likes to read in his bunk bed!

When we bought my son a bunk bed, I failed to take into account the fact that his desk lamp would no longer provide enough light for reading in bed. Obviously, allowing him to put it on an extension cord and haul it up would be a terrible – not to mention dangerous – solution. Enter the Glovion rechargeable lamp!

One charge lasts hours and, since there is no cord, he can set it on the headboard of the bunk bed while he reads to safely provide the light he needs. It’s dimmable so he can also use it as a nightlight when he has a bad dream and it’s attractive enough to blend into any decor. I am already toying with the idea of ordering a couple more for our camper!

100% Microfiber Yoga Towel – 6 different pictures

IMG_20160901_191044

My only complaint on this yoga towel is that there aren’t any straps on the corners to hold it in place my yoga map. (A little spritz of water on the mat before you lay it down helps keep it in place, though.) Other than that, it would be very hard to beat!

To begin with – it’s beautiful! When I look for yoga accessories, I always look for something that will actually enhance my yoga experience instead of just fulfilling a need. The winter tree scene on my mat towel is soothing and reminds me (a Colorado girl) of one of my favorite times of the year.

The towel itself is made of heavy duty terry cloth like microfiber with enough texture to keep your hands and feet from slipping as you change positions.

It is thick enough to use in place of a mat when traveling. It’s machine washable (although I did dry it on the clothesline – I didn’t want to risk damaging the picture).

Tuck this one away as a holiday gift for the yoga fan in your life!
